Winona ORC (WORC) held its annual banquet and recognized workers, staff, and community members for their generous support in 2008.

 

Awards given included:

Customer of the Year to Minnesota Mittens for their continued support of Winona ORC’s production program with historic sales levels in 2008.

 

Community Based Employer Recognition to Benchmark Electronics for providing job opportunities for people with disabilities including light assembly, recycling, and material handling.

 

Supported Employment Employer of the Year to Kentucky Fried Chicken for their support through competitive employment by using our Placement program.

 

Special Recognition Award to Knitcraft Corporation for their on-going support to WORC in a variety of ways.

 

The 2008 Volunteers of the Year are Kevin O’Reilly and Shelly Leaf who co-chair WORC’s golf committee and have been instrumental in the growing success of this fundraiser.

 

The 2008 Employee of the Year voted on by staff and workers is Jill Berg.
