Winona ORC received a $7,500 grant from Xcel Energy to fund Winona ORC’s Skills Training/Placement program.

The Skills Training/Placement Program is a learning environment for employment and social skills for our target population of adults with disabilities. The programs help individuals improve their knowledge to obtain and retain employment. The program helps improve daily living skills and helps in fostering quality relationship skills with their co-workers, friends and family.

Xcel Energy’s grant is part of the company’s corporate giving Education focus area, which supports nonprofit organizations like Winona ORC.

The grant from Xcel Energy will help the Skills Training/Placement Program provide education to our clients that enhances their vocational, personal and social competencies to succeed in the work-place and in their everyday lives.

Time for Feedback

survey picIt’s time for Winona ORC’s annual satisfaction survey. You can play an important role by giving us feedback on our performance. Input is requested and collected to help determine the expectations and  preference of Winona ORC’s stakeholders and to better understand how we are performing from the perspective of our stakeholders.

From your response we can direct ongoing quality improvement. It helps determine if we are meeting the  current needs of our stakeholders, if we are offering services that are relevant to our stakeholders and to  indentify potential opportunities for the growth and development of our programs and services.

It will only take a few minutes and your help in improving our services is greatly appreciated!

Thank you for being an important part of the   Winona ORC team!

You have always been a generous supporter of the people that we serve at Winona ORC and their goal of more independent lives. Now you have an opportunity to double your support!

We are excited to announce that the Otto Bremer Foundation has offered to match up to $100,000 of individual donations made on GiveMN.org to Winona ORC during the month of March as part of the Otto Bremer Foundation’s March Millions campaign.

Your online donation during March Millions may also help us receive an additional donation of $1,000.

How? From March 1 through March 31, every gift made on GiveMN.org to Winona ORC will be entered into a daily drawing for a $1,000 Bremer Boost to be awarded to an organization in southeastern Minnesota. That means 31 opportunities for you to help us receive an extra $1,000!

And here’s the really exciting part: On March 31, one donation will be randomly drawn from all March Millions donations throughout the month to receive a $10,000 Bremer Boost prize grant!

The more online donations we receive between March 1 and March 31, the better our chances to receive a Bremer Boost.
