CARF_GoldSealThe Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) International announced that Winona ORC has been accredited for a period of three years for its Community Employment Services including Employment Supports and Job Development  and several other services. The latest accreditation is the twelfth consecutive Three-Year Accreditation that the international accrediting body, CARF, has awarded to Winona ORC.

Winona ORC is a nonprofit organization and has been providing vocational services and employment opportunities to people with disabilities for forty years. Executive Director, Judie Foster-Lupkin stated, “ We are honored to once again be awarded the CARF accreditation. It is an affirmation of dedication of our staff to provide quality services to the people we serve. We are grateful for the continued support of local business and our community for helping us to provide opportunities for people with disabilities to become more independent and improve their lives.”

This accreditation decision represents the highest level of accreditation that can be awarded to an organization and shows the organization’s substantial conformance to the CARF standards. An organization receiving a Three-Year Accreditation has put itself through a rigorous peer review process. It has demonstrated to a team of surveyors during an on-site visit its commitment to offering programs and services that are measurable, accountable, and of the highest quality. CARF is an independent, nonprofit accrediting body whose mission is to promote the quality, value, and optimal outcomes of services through a consultative accreditation process and continuous improvement services that center on enhancing the lives of the persons served.
